Wake Forest Garden Club - Wake Forest

Wake Forest Downtown, Inc., is proud to recognize the Wake Forest Garden Club as a Main Street Champion. This club has been actively working to enhance the beauty of downtown Wake Forest and the community since 1924 .

The Garden Club’s many efforts in downtown include the establishment and maintenance of the Susie Powell Garden, consulting and assisting on plantings and landscaping for Front Street (a major gateway into downtown), planting bulbs in the downtown park and along Festival Street, and planning and volunteering for the annual Dirt Day event. For one recent project, the Garden Club partnered with the downtown organization on the purchase of 23 downtown planters. Even more impactful, the Club sponsors the planting and maintenance of them throughout the year.

The dedicated volunteers of the Wake Forest Garden Club work tirelessly to add beauty and joy to their community and truly are North Carolina Main Street Champions.
