2021 NC Main Street Champion
City Manager Terra Greene has been a huge part of Lexington's recent growth. As Lexington’s first female City Manager, Greene has been a strong advocate for and supporter of revitalizing the historic Uptown business community and the neighboring Depot District. By investing in strategic planning and building collaboration among regional, state, and federal partners, Ms. Greene has built upon the vision of making Lexington a City of Choice. In the past year, Ms. Greene’s leadership has been ever-present in her efforts to increase Census participation, keep the community healthy and safe during COVID, invest in small business retention Uptown, and celebrate Juneteenth for the first time as a community and in a COVID-safe manner.
Terra Greene is a true visionary leader and Uptown Lexington is honored to recognize her as its NC Main Street Champion.
