Sharon Jablonski has dedicated her life to Downtown Morganton. Having served as the Main Street Director for nearly 30 years, she continues to lead as the City of Morganton’s Department of Cultural and Creative Development Director.
Sharon has been key in downtown investments including the development of 260 living units, restaurants, breweries, a seven-screen movie theater, and an 85 room hotel. She is currently working on the redevelopment of the Courthouse Square, downtown’s biggest development, which is scheduled for completion this year. She has never hesitated to do what it takes for the good of the community and downtown Morganton. The two are indistinguishable; no matter where she goes or what she does or who she is with, she IS downtown Morganton.
Sharon’s vision, ingenuity, and perseverance were recognized in 2020 when she became the inaugural recipient of the National Main Street Center’s Mary Means Leadership Award.
