2021 NC Main Street Champions
Sampson Partners, a nonprofit, Christian-based organization in Clinton, was established in 1986 with a mission of helping those in need in Sampson County. Proceeds from the organization’s furniture and thrift store are donated to other nonprofits across the county. In 2018, the group acquired a set of buildings adjoining its property in the historic district of downtown Clinton and prominently positioned across from the award-winning Milling Around public art piece. Sampson Partners held a fundraising campaign to restore and redevelop the buildings. By January 2020, renovations to the buildings, which now house the Shop on Main furniture store and a Sampson Community College satellite classroom facility, were complete and Sampson Partners honored those who contributed to the project at a dedication ceremony. Thanks to the commitment of the Sampson Partners Board of Directors to acquire and restore property in downtown Clinton, the community has access to educational offerings through Sampson Community College and its Small Business Center.
Clinton is proud to name the Sampson Partners Board of Directors as its NC Main Street Champion.
