The North Wilkesboro Police Department is a “behind the scenes” hero. You’ll see its officers patrolling the streets and sidewalks daily, ensuring our safety, but what you may not see is their work promoting and supporting downtown development.
Whether it’s guarding a money box, setting out barricades, engaging children and citizens, directing traffic, or giving directions to the best place in town to eat, the Police Department’s duties go well beyond providing security. It plays an integral role in planning, creating, and executing successful events in North Wilkesboro. The Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership is proud to partner with its North Carolina Main Street Champion, the North Wilkesboro Police Department.
