2021 NC Main Street Champion
Nick Fischer of Tryon is the kind of leader that can face any challenge. 2020 was a year with a lot of transitions, yet Nick remained a faithful volunteer and graciously stepped up to fill a Tryon Downtown Development Association committee chair vacancy. He now serves as the head of the Livability Committee, to encourage committee members to fulfill their yearly workplan tasks. Whether the assignment is clearing out a storage room, taking part in a long and arduous planning session, or attending biweekly Beer Fest meetings to support the Executive Director, Nick is there with a smile on his face.
