John McGill purchased a building at 133 West Mountain Street in downtown Kings Mountain that he remembers as being a jewelry store when he was growing up. The building had been vacant for many years and he decided to renovate the charming property. John worked with the future restaurant tenant throughout the renovations, collaborating on a vision for the property to include a beautiful interior, an outdoor seating area, and a stage within a landscaped park-like setting. John provided a generous investment for renovation costs and created a wonderful gathering place for city residents and visitors. John is proud to have invested in his hometown and is a wonderful asset to downtown Kings Mountain.
For his efforts and vision for downtown, Kings Mountain honors John McGill as a North Carolina Main Street Champion.
