2022 NC Main Street Champion
In two thousand nineteen, as a newcomer to Elon, Bill Baucom immediately volunteered his service to downtown. With his thirty-five-year professional background as an entertainer and a professional booking agent, he offered to assist with booking bands for the Music Two Dine Two Program created during the COVID nineteen pandemic. Bill developed a list of performers and began booking bands within a limited budget to create a successful outdoor music venue. During each concert, he acts as the liaison between the Downtown Director and the entertainers by handling bookings, correspondence, and logistics. Now in its third year, the program brings fourteen to fifteen live music annual venues each spring and fall. Bill's enthusiasm, professionalism, eye for talent, and love of his community make him a huge asset to Downtown Elon. He is an active community member, and his dedication to Elon makes Bill Baucom its two thousand twenty-two Main Street Champion.
