2021 NC Main Street Champions
The Arts Council of Carteret County is a tremendous partner to Downtown Morehead City and has proven its commitment to supporting and promoting the arts in downtown. Downtown Morehead City is more vibrant because of the Arts Council’s efforts.
The group was instrumental in the “Welcome to Morehead City” mural, signal box wraps, and the Circles on 6th Street, which all brought new life to focal points in downtown. The Arts Council’s new initiatives include crosswalk art and alleyway improvements.
In addition to assisting with downtown projects, the Arts Council has provided funding to Downtown Morehead City, Inc., that helped bring artists to perform concerts. Many members of the Arts Council also devote time to the downtown organization as volunteers and by serving on committees.
Downtown Morehead City is honored to name the Arts Council of Carteret County as its NC Main Street Champion!
