Goldsboro resident and downtown merchant Kimber Roche has been a tremendous advocate for downtown Goldsboro since the opening of her family’s downtown business in 2018. Throughout the past year, she continued to be a leading voice for downtown Goldsboro and the community. With her trademark calm and compassionate demeanor, Kimber worked behind the scenes to support other downtown merchants throughout 2020, even though her family’s own business was closed for several months. In a critical time, Kimber provided much-needed leadership in the community. She went door-to-door to each business to ensure that local merchants were represented and that their needs were met through a challenging time.
Beyond pandemic-related support, Kimber also worked with several local organizations to build a consistent welcome experience for new businesses in town, bringing together efforts from the City of Goldsboro, the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation, the downtown merchants association, and the chamber of commerce.
Kimber Roche’s dedication to collaboration and a “community over competition” approach make her shine. Goldsboro is honored to name her a North Carolina Main Street Champion.
