2021 NC Main Street Champion
Troy Davis is a real estate developer and native of Rocky Mount. Prior to venturing into downtown Rocky Mount, Mr. Davis tackled and transformed some of the most challenging and unsightly multi-family properties throughout the city. The downtown community is now the beneficiary of Troy Davis’s talent in transforming challenged properties. Specifically, Davis assembled three downtown buildings that had lain dormant and decaying for nearly two decades. The $1.8 million project, Davis Lofts, consists of three side-by-side buildings that include 22 upstairs apartments, four storefronts, a gym, and a rooftop deck.
Mr. Davis has become a strong advocate for downtown Rocky Mount. He supports and actively recruits restaurants and businesses to downtown. He also assists neighboring downtown property owners with improving their properties.
The downtown community appreciates Davis as a neighbor and salutes him as Rocky Mount’s NC Main Street Champion.
