2023 NC Main Street Champion
In 2008 Dr. Bryden McCormick moved to Fuquay-Varina, after graduating from dental school. Bryden quickly began giving back to his new community by sponsoring Free Dental Day, an event that served more than one hundred patients. He wanted to continue to serve, so he began sponsoring school events, sports teams, the local chorus, the museum, the Arts Center, and the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association. In 2014, Bryden saw a downtown building that needed to be rehabbed. His vision for this building was an upscale restaurant.
He purchased the property, completed construction, and the upscale restaurant became a reality. Bryden is always listening, dreaming, and determining ways he can serve the community. His latest vision helped to develop the downtown’s first multistory mixed use building, The Q. This four story structure is thirty-six thousand square feet, including a restaurant and retail establishments on the first floor, office suites on the second floor, and sixteen condominiums located on the third and fourth floors.
His willingness to always listen, dream, and act with a generous heart for needs big or small is the reason why Fuquay-Varina recognizes Bryden McCormick as its 2023 North Carolina Main Street Champion.
