2023 NC Main Street Champion
Rosalyn has been described as a tireless volunteer, advocate, community leader, and friend to all. The title she is most deserving of is Main Street Champion. Rosalyn served on the Downtown Economic Development Corporation Board for several years and continues to sit on the Design Committee. In her role, she has helped with access to public art and historical information for the Downtown area.
Rosalyn has been instrumental in finding resources for projects and is a huge advocate for diversity in Oxford's Main Street Program. Although she just recently ended her Board tenure, Rosalyn is still actively working to revitalize downtown. Currently, she is working to restore the historic Mary Potter School, which was the first African American school in Oxford and is in downtown.
Because Rosalyn is a true believer in the Main Street approach Oxford is honored to recognize her as its 2023 NC Main Street Champion.
