Cindy Pardue is the Executive Director of the Wilkes Art Gallery, a non-profit arts-based organization located in downtown North Wilkesboro. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Management from Appalachian State University, where she later worked on cataloging and organizing the school’s permanent collection at the Turchin Center.
A native of Ashe County, Cindy is also a talented artist in her own right. She often works in her home studio producing works of art in various media, but primarily focusing on commissioned works of stained glass and fused glass. Under her direction, the Wilkes Art Gallery hosts regular youth and adult classes, monthly workshops, exhibits, and juried competitions, and administers the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program Grant.
Cindy’s input on creative-centered projects has proved invaluable to downtown and to our organization. Her willingness to partner with the Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership on annual special events has been our good fortune. We are pleased to honor Cindy Pardue as a North Carolina Main Street Champion.
