Downtowns in NC have seen a movement in restoring historic theaters. Throughout the years these local assets had fallen victim to decay and being utilized in other ways.

Many of these projects were the result of local citizens coming together to raise money and to bring these once iconic staples back to life. Movie theaters may go out of style due to internet access, but an entertainment venue will always provide space for the community to gather. Citizens are entertained, learn, and build that sense of community within the walls of a local theater.
