Clinton- Downtown Dash Committee

Updated: Mar 21, 2019

.

The Downtown Dash Committee formed in 2012 to organize 5K and 10K races and a fun run/walk to be held annually on the day of the Court Square Street Fair and BBQ Cook-Off in Downtown Clinton. Since then, the Downtown Dash has contributed over $27,000 to improvements in Downtown Clinton, including two decorative picnic tables, two decorative bicycle racks, and a "Welcome to Downtown Clinton" sign. Most recently, the Committee’s last contribution of $10,000 is being used to complete Downtown Clinton's first alleyway project which will include public art, lighting, and landscaping improvements in a space, just off the courthouse square, which connects two City-owned parking lots. The Clinton Main Street Program appreciates the Downtown Dash Committee's hard work and dedication to improving the overall look of Downtown Clinton. For its contributions to the Clinton Main Street Program and Downtown Clinton, the Downtown Dash Committee is a North Carolina Main Street Champion.
