2023 NC Main Street Champion
An Elizabeth City native, C. Everett Thompson has a love for the community and has been an active downtown advocate for many years. He is a local attorney who has invested his time, money, and energy into the Main Street community he loves. Before others recognized the potential of new building projects downtown, Everett designed and constructed a building with charm and character at a key downtown intersection. It now houses a law office for him, and an art studio for his wife, Dru.
In 2023 he celebrated his 50th year in law practice, most, if not all, of it taking place in downtown Elizabeth City. He has served on the Elizabeth City Downtown, Inc. board of directors for many years and has provided a wealth of advice and guidance.
