To call her a Main Street Champion would be an understatement when describing Angela Street. From holding positions on the Belmont Main Street Board and committees, to volunteering for everything, she is never far from the pulse of downtown. Through Angela’s commitment and dedication, the Design Committee worked with a designer and developer to install digital informational kiosks in downtown. The amount of work that it took to accomplish this as volunteers was beyond amazing.
Angela and the Design Committee also developed a walking history tour app called Belmont GO. Now with the push of a button, citizens can walk down Belmont’s Main Street, see pictures, and hear stories of the past. The history and stories about Belmont, recorded from senior citizens, will live on forever because of this remarkable project.
Angela Street is the epitome of a North Carolina Main Street Champion!
