2025 NC Main Street Champion
“I’m very honored,” Saundra said. “This award is for important people, and I feel like I’m just a small part of the community.”
To Uptown Roxboro, Saundra Shoe is anything but small. As a long-time Board member and Chair of the Design Committee, Saundra leads with heart and vision. “I just want Uptown to look its best,” she says—"whether it’s through window decorating contests, the Paint the Town Purple campaign, or seasonal planting events.”
Saundra also helped launch An Artisan’s Emporium, a locally owned shop that features her handmade pottery. “It’s about sharing what I love and helping others succeed.”
Even while recovering from knee surgery, she kept projects moving. “I couldn’t sit still—I had to keep things going.”
Despite a full life of family and volunteer commitments, Saundra always shows up. “This community means the world to me.”
For her passion, generosity, and unwavering dedication, Roxboro proudly names Saundra Shoe as its 2025 NC Main Street Champion.
