“Pilot Mountain is home.” Says Christopher and Amanda Cook. “Our families, our kids—even our great-great-grandparents—are from here. This is where we plan to stay, and we want our community to be healthy and thriving.”
“When the opportunity came to buy a building downtown, we couldn’t pass it up. Historic tax credits made it possible and using them allowed us to give back to our community in a meaningful way.”
“Our goal was to preserve the character of the building while meeting real needs downtown—bringing back a pharmacy, modernizing the insurance office, and adding much-needed housing.”
“We love being part of a close-knit town where you know your neighbors and feel safe letting your kids walk to the coffee shop.”
“More than anything, we want this to be a place our kids—and the next generation—will want to come back to.”
