Inspired by weekend visits to independent bookstores, they opened a cozy, welcoming space in December 2024—right in the heart of Belmont. But this wasn’t just a bookstore. It became a true “third place,” where neighbors gather over books, puzzles, and meaningful conversation.

In 2025, they took their vision even further by launching the Belmont Literary Festival in partnership with the Downtown Belmont Development Association. Held over Labor Day weekend, the festival brought more than 2,500 people downtown to celebrate stories, authors, and community.

Kristina says what she loves best is “the community—the people who stop to say hello, the police officers who check in, the city, and DBDA that truly partner with us.”

Through their creativity, passion, and heart for downtown, Brian and Kristina have written a lovely new chapter for Belmont, who is honored to name Brian Frederick & Kristina Bulovic their 2025 Main Street Champions.
