Designated NC Main Street Communities

Trainings | Meetings

Designated NC Main Street Directors and Small Town Main Street Coordinators are required to meet the following annual training requirements.

  • ORIENTATION:  Required of new Main Street Directors and Small Town Main Street Coordinators. Must complete the class within three months of start date.

  • FOUR BASIC TRAINING CLASSES:  Required of New Main Street Directors and Small Town Main Street Coordinators.  Must complete the classes within first year.

  • DIRECTORS MEETING: Required of ALL NC Main Street Directors, held annually in August.

  • REGIONAL MEETINGS: Required of Main Street Directors, and Small Town Main Street Coordinators, or a volunteer if the Director/Coordinator cannot attendMust attend a minimum of one of two bi-annual regional meetings, held annually in July and October.

  • NC MAIN STREET CONFERENCE:  Required of ALL Main Street Directors, Small Town Main Street Coordinators.and a minimum of one volunteer from each community.
